The Ferrara olive mill began operating in 1966, when Tommaso Ferrara decided to carry on the family tradition of two generations of farmers.
The mill was originally located in the neighbouring city of Trani but was moved to its present site in 2010, modernized and equipped with the latest technology. Here, the olives of the highly regarded Coratina cultivar, grown on the family farm, are harvested and pressed using innovative, modern processes. The mechanical cold press produces high quality extra virgin olive oil.
Today, the mill is managed by Mauro and his children Marzia and Tommaso, the latest generation of the Ferrara family, who have inherited the family passion for their work and a love for this land.
